GROVER IN MANCHURIA

Wrap your brain around this:

· The Policy Director for the Intelligence Division of the Department of Homeland Security – who has access to classified information on all our ports, airports, and everything else pertaining to national security – is a Moslem with direct ties to Islamic radicals under indictment by the FBI.

· This individual, named Faisal Gill, received his security clearances despite his lying on his clearance forms about his ties to Islamist organizations. When his deception was disclosed, he was suspended last March – and then reinstated with his clearances intact.

· The reason he got the job, received his clearance, and was reinstated after being suspended, was pressure from the single most influential Republican activist and lobbyist in Washington, Grover Norquist.

Grover is considered the conservative movement’s greatest asset on Capitol Hill. He is president of Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) and a Board Member of the National Rifle Association. No one has done more to get a Republican majority in Congress and lobby for tax cuts than Grover. Yet for some unfathomable reason, he has a pro-Moslem obsession.

If the obsession was innocent, and he associated with say, Sufi Moslems or other true advocates of a peaceful Islam, then there would be no problem. But his obsession is with radicals – pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas radicals like Khaled Saffuri with whom he founded the Islamic Institute. ATR and the Islamic Institute share office space and a receptionist at 1920 L Street NW in downtown DC. Frequent visitors at the common office were Abdurahman Alamoudi and Sami-al-Arian, both currently in jail and being prosecuted by the FBI for terrorist activities.

At the funeral service for Ronald Reagan at the National Cathedral, at the last moment a Moslem Imam was included as a religious “Participant” in the service. He was Mohamed Magid, Director of the All Dulles Muslim Society in Herndon Virginia – which has been raided by the FBI in an investigation of terrorist financing. It was Grover who insisted on Magid’s being invited and sandbagged Nancy Reagan in her confused bereavement into acquiescing.

Have you ever seen the 1962 classic movie, The Manchurian Candidate? There’s Frank Sinatra and Lawrence Harvey, but the main character is Angela Lansbury, who plays a passionate right-wing anti-communist – and it turns out it’s all an act, she’s really on the side of the Reds.

Grover’s passionate conservatism is not an act – I’m sure of it as I’ve known him for over twenty years. Maybe it’s some dual-personality thing. But something very weird is going on – so much so that part of Grover lives in Manchuria – an Islamic Manchuria.

Hardly anyone in Washington will call Grover on this – he’s too influential with Karl Rove and others. He’s the “Gatekeeper” without whom you don’t have access to Washington’s power elite. Very few people, like Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy, or columnist Michelle Malkin, have the courage to denounce Grover’s ties to terrorists and to publicly state he has become a grave risk to America’s national security.

Perhaps such exposure will bring Grover to his senses – enough for him to depart from Islamist Manchuria and come back to America where he belongs.
