A EUROWEENIE STRIKES BACK!

This is the funniest email I have received in years. I thought about putting it in the Humor File because you’ll collapse laughing so hard when you read it. But it’s not a gag – the guy is serious! He’s from Switzerland – a place we all thought had some respect for freedom and dissent. This email displays just how far Europe has sunk into Terminal Weeniedom. It is also a cold shower reminder that the totalitarian ideologies of Communism, Fascism, and Naziism originated in Europe – and how Europeans are once again trashing their own freedoms. This letter is hilarious – but it’s also a sobering reminder of just how unique and precious our American freedom is. The letter is in full, with my comments in italicized brackets —JW

Looking for comments on the Iraq prisoner abuse issue, I found your site. With growing disgust I’ve read some of your articles that are freely accessible. The first one I read, “Why can’t she take it like a man?”, shows a dumb macho behavior but your attitude concerning the Iraq prisoner abuse scandal is not uncommon in right circles. Having read other comments of so called “patriot” sites I was not very surprised about your putting the blame on a single person, but you are the only one who insults at the same time the officer in charge just because she is a woman. A new quality of baseness.

Nevertheless I find your article about what you call the Pogo Press worse. Like the Nazis during the Weimar Republic you abuse the freedom of press and of speech just to fight the free press. Unfortunately there is a swamp of fascist American sites on the internet that do the same thing every day without being sanctioned.

[Note carefully: Any criticism of the liberal press is Nazi, fascist, and must be “sanctioned,” i.e., made illegal. This is truly Orwellian.]

Undoubtedly the so called humor file about the Iraq prison scandal is a very tasteless proof that right wing extremists have no humour at all. But even that didn’t shock me any more after the incredible justifications of torture I had already to digest on other America internet sites. Sadly enough you are not the only one who ridicules the suffering of torture victims by comparing their mistreatment to strange student rites of the rich, self appointed US elite. Disgusting but no surprise.

What really knocked me off was your outrageous article “Fallujah delenda est”. This one beats even Ann Coulter’s mad writings and I am just wondering why your site has not been closed down by the responsible authorities. Not only the torturing of people but also the destruction of their goods is forbidden by the Geneva Convention as well as collective punishments. Be assured, would you publish a similar article on a Swiss site I would immediately start legal proceedings against you in Switzerland because of the promotion of war crimes. And believe me you would be sentenced for that.

[An amazing admission that Switzerland no longer has freedom of the press. I will joyously publish articles on any Swiss site Kurt cares to name – so that I may cordially invite him to rectally insert his subsequent legal proceedings.]

One could just laugh about your insane arrogance, about your hatred even towards conservatives who think that the illegal Iraq war was not such a good idea to fight terrorism. One could just laugh about the atrocious foolishness of your comments would there not be an important number of influential figures within the actual American government showing the same or a similar way of thinking. And that makes propagandists like you so dangerous not only for Americans but for all people. Your “War on Terrorism” unleashes terrorism even further instead of containing it.

But the worst thing for me was still to come: your biography. It was really shocking to detect that you are not only preaching war crimes to be committed in Iraq today but following your own description of your life you seem to be one of the main responsibles in the US for crimes against humanity in southern Africa in the eighties.

I don’t think that you are really the creator of the so called “Reagan Doctrine” as you claim to be. Every right wing extremist fool dreamed of this rollback policy after the Vietnam defeat. But if you were really one of the key figures who organized the support for the so called resistance movements RENAMO and UNITA in the USA by convincing the Reagan Administration and private organizations like the Heritage Foundation to back these “rebels” politically and financially then you would be without any doubt one of the main responsibles in the United States for the prolongation of the Apartheid regime in South Africa and thus for the undeclared war that the white racists imposed on the neighboring countries, in particular on Angola and Mozambique. Although I know after some search in the Internet that you were as well one of the main US promoters of Savimbi, it is the war in Mozambique I want to focus on.

I have worked in Mozambique in the first half of the eighties so I know what I am speaking of. By supporting RENAMO that was originally established by the Rhodesian security services and then run by the South African military after the independence of Zimbabwe you would be one of the responsibles for at least 100,000 war victims just from about 1983 to 1988 and probably for even much more deaths dying of starvation as a direct consequence of the war. In this war many thousands of Mozambicans have been mutilated by land mines. There were more than one million Mozambican refugees and about 5 to 6 millions displaced persons in Mozambique itself. That means more than half of the population had to flee at one time or another during this war. And last but not least this war is still the main reason for the misery in which most of the Mozambicans have to live even until today.

By supporting RENAMO you have tolerated and patronized the kidnapping of thousands of children, that were then used as killers after dehumanizing them in the most brutal ways imaginable. This was the first time children were abused in such a great number as “killer” soldiers in Africa and has triggered their widespread abuse in other conflicts like in Sierra Leone, Liberia and so on.

Because of the propaganda by unscrupulous and totally irresponsible political thugs like you fundamentalist American churches collected money to support the alleged anti-communist and “Christian” puppet organization of the Apartheid regime, RENAMO, and some rich right wing extremists donated large sums to keep this terrorist organization running. Money that was then used to kill people and to destruct the existing infrastructure in a country that even without the war was already one of the poorest countries of the world because of the Portuguese colonialism. And all these atrocities were justified by you and other right wing extremists pretending that Mozambique was a ‘Soviet Colony’. A stupid lie to maintain Apartheid in South Africa and American influence in the region.

American right wing extremists like you and hypocrite fundamental “Christians” supported an organisation that engaged in wholesale massacres when raiding towns and villages on the countryside or the suburbs of the big cities. People they didn’t kill were mutilated by cutting them arms, legs, noses or ears. Ten thousands of Mozambicans were enslaved and forced to work for RENAMO in the remote areas it controlled militarily. They had to transport weapons and to provide food and other goods to the ‘rebels’.

[So, he worked for the Communist FRELIMO government that perpetrated the atrocities it then attributed to RENAMO. I walked hundred of miles through Mozambique with RENAMO guerrillas and visited scores of villages deep in the bush. I saw no evidence of atrocities, and every evidence the villagers were happy and unafraid around the RENAMO guys. It is thanks to RENAMO that Mozambique is a democracy today. The leader of RENAMO, Afonso Dhlakama, will most likely be elected President of Mozambique this fall. How enraged Kurt will be over this is cause for schadenfreude.]

Even within the Reagan Administration – in particular in the State Department – there were some honest persons, that abhorred the atrocities committed by RENAMO and other so called “freedom fighters”. May I remind you that Roy Stacy, the then U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Africa, stated in 1988 that RENAMO had conducted “one of the most brutal holocausts against ordinary human beings since WWII.” It is thanks to persons like him and others in the State Department and thanks to the US Anti-Apartheid activists that Reagan could not follow the Doctrine you claim to be the author of according to the letter. Even so the damage done to a country like Mozambique is immeasurable.

[Surprise! – the State Department was on the side of the Communists in Mozambique, and demonized RENAMO. Foggy Bottom has a sorry history of being on the side of bad guys. But thanks to Ronald Reagan, we got the Reagan Doctrine to liberate the Soviet Empire anyway.]

It is unacceptable and unbearable that people like you who provided crucial support to terrorist organizations like RENAMO or UNITA when they committed genocide and other crimes against humanity are now preaching hatred towards all Arabs and Muslims in general. I cannot understand that you can make a public call demanding the destruction of Fallujah without being officially accused of promoting crimes against humanity. This should be the duty of every judge in the United States because for the masterminds of such crimes there is only one possible place to stay on earth: in prison.
